Position: The Faculty of Planning is looking for an Assistant Professor with expertise in the field of Design such as Architecture and Urban Design
Type of Position: Full-time position on a 3-year contract, which can be renewed
Faculty of Planning
The Faculty of Planning was established in 1972 as the School of Planning. The Faculty has full-time, adjunct and visiting faculty members who bring on board wide-ranging professional and research experience with national and global links, as well as the immense dedication and passion for working.
In response to a growing need for professionals who can grapple with the complexity of India’s rapidly expanding cities, the Planning Faculty is proposing to open a new five-year Bachelor program which will train students to tackle design issues that relate to the public realm and processes of the city. This Programme would commence in July 2016 subject to the approval of Executive Council of CEPT.
Qualification: Master of Architecture/ Urban Design/ Planning or other equivalent qualification in the field of design. Candidates with Master of Planning or equivalent areas must also have a Bachelor Degree in a design field such as architecture
Work Experience: 2 years minimum
Skills required: The ideal candidate will be conversant in the areas of planning and architecture, with experience in teaching, and interest in pedagogy. He/she should also have excellent interpersonal, communication, and management skills, with a systematic approach towards his/her work. Appreciation for the role of design in planning education is preferable
